Here are some friendly tips how to help the environment while you work from home!!
Turn down your thermostat and wear one of your snappy Christmas sweaters instead! Lowering your thermostat by just 2 degrees can save up to a TON of carbon dioxide per year!
·         Unplug chargers and turn off computers when not in use to avoid leaking Vampire Energy. This simple act can save a HALF TON of carbon dioxide per  year! (And maybe lower your electric bill.)
·         Look into eco-friendly office supplies that are waste-free, biodegradable or made from sustainable sources.
·         Did you know that if you reduce your monitor’s brightness from 100% to 70%, you can save up to 20% of the energy the monitor uses?!
·         Use LED or CFL light bulbs in lamps, fixtures and holiday lights.
·         Reuse/buy second-hand items, or donate items, instead of tossing them. And don’t forget to bring your reusable shopping bags to the stores you frequent. A lot of grocery stores give rewards for bringing your own bags!!
·         The reusable water bottle is your friend! My personal favorite Christmas gift is my water bottle that my wife got me for Christmas last year. I drink 4-6 water bottles a day without actually using the water bottle.
·         Don’t leave your car running to warm up  for too long before  heading out in cold weather.. Trust me, warm is good but the quicker you defrost it and you get in and get it moving the warmer it will get by driving it!
