Did everyone just go home happy from Redskins Park?

The front office wanted Haskins and some football people wanted an edge rusher.

Redskins get Sweat and check off a needed box in their Draft checklist.

Dan Snyder got his man and didn't have to move up to do it.

The Redskins picked Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins at #15 in the first round of the NFL Draft.

There were some football people in the building who wanted Daniel Jones but he went to New York. There were some who wanted a pass rusher. There were some who didn't see Haskins as a fit.

However, as the draft fell perfectly for the Redskins who have so many needs, Snyder and Allen weren't going to pass up on Haskins.

There's a lot of upside to Haskins and how Jay Gruden adapts or changes his offense to the new quarterback will be a major factor. There's much work to be done and while I expect Case Keenum or Colt McCoy to start Week 1, it will be interesting to see how  the staff makes it work with the new QB.

It will also be worth monitoring to see if there starts to become pressure from up above to play him before he is ready.

But in the end, Snyder and Bruce Allen, who felt the need to make a splash, to get butts in seats, and to rejuventae the fan base went quarterback and got their guy.
